2 people shot near Regina Pizza Hut, McDonald's Sunday night

Regina police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that happened on the south end of Albert Street on Sunday night.

Police said both victims are expected to survive their injuries

Regina police are investigating after two people were treated for apparent gunshot wounds in Regina Sunday night.

Regina police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that happened on the south end of Albert Street on Sunday night.

At about 11:20 p.m., a 33-year-old woman was injured when a shot was fired near a Pizza Hut on the 4500 block of Albert Street.

The woman was rushed to hospital and is expected to survive her injuries.

The second shooting happened at a McDonald's about a block away. A 23-year-old man was injured. Police said he is expected to survive his injuries as well.

Employees at the Albert Street Pizza Hut and McDonald's tell CBC News the incidents happened in the parking lots outside.

No one has been arrested.
