Woman accused of white powder, bomb scares in Saskatoon has new lawyer

A woman facing more than 80 charges related to white powder scares and bomb threats in Saskatoon has a new lawyer.

Alexa Emerson is now being represented by Patrick McDougall, a well-known defence lawyer in the city.

He replaces Lisa Watson, who stepped aside after finding a conflict of interest with Emerson while going through court documents.

Emerson's first lawyer, Brian Pfefferle, withdrew after she was accused of sending a white powder package to his office in March.

Morris Bodnar stepped in for Pfefferle, but withdrew a few weeks later for an unknown reason.

Emerson, who has also gone by the name Amanda Totchek, is to appear in court by video on May 30.
