Jody Hauta, with the city, said on Monday they had 200 dogs pre-registered for the event, surpassing last year's attendance.

"It's a chance for dog owners to come down and play in the water in a controlled setting. It's a good chance to get into the water and play," Hauta said. "This is the last day of the pool season so the dogs will be the last ones in there."
