Saskatchewan is getting a new professional sports team. The National Lacrosse League is sending the Edmonton Rush to Saskatoon.

"I definitely think that Saskatoon could support a professional team," said Logan McMurtry. "We've shown that we have a pretty loyal fan base when it comes to professional sports teams and Saskatoon has the infrastructure in place to support a team so I think it should be a pretty successful opportunity."

McMurtry is the marketing coordinator for the Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association.

"We've been seeing a lot of growth both in Saskatoon specifically, but also the province as a whole," said McMurtry. "We have a lot of new associations starting up [and] a lot of kids are joining in. It's starting to really take off."
