Saskatoon homicide victim identified after police ask for public's help

The victim of a homicide in Saskatoon on Saturday has been identified by police as a 23-year-old man whose name has not been released.

The victim of a homicide in Saskatoon on Saturday has been identified by police as a 23-year-old man whose name hasnot been released.

At about 10:40 a.m. CST on Saturday, police and emergency medicalservices responded to an apartment on the 200 block of Avenue V S.

The man was found injured and rushed to hospital but died from his injuries.

Police released a description of the man on Saturday night in an effort to identify him. He was described as a man in his mid-20s with short, blonde hair and blue eyes.By Sunday morning police had identified him as a 23-year-old. No further details about his identitywere released.

The man's death was the second homicide in Saskatoon in less than 24 hours, with another man having died in an apartment building on the 200 block of 5th Ave N.

Police say the two incidents are not related.
