PM in Saskatoon: Justin Trudeau to mark Eid al-Adha, meet with Saskatoon Tribal Council

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in Saskatoon for two days to make remarks at a Liberal donor event, and meet with community groups and government officials.

Donor appreciation event Thursday evening, several engagements Friday

Prime Minister Justin Trudeauis in Saskatoon for two days to make remarks at a Liberal donor event, and meet with community groups and government officials.

Thursday evening, Trudeauspoke at a Laurier Club donor appreciation reception.

The prime minister spoke for 15 minutes, and thanked those present for their donations, volunteering, and fundraising efforts.

Then, he touched on "widening chasms" between the political left and right.

"Canada didn't happen by accident, and it won't continue without effort," he said

"it's about people who realize we all have a role to play."

Friday morning, he is scheduled todeliver remarks with Employment, Workforce Development and LabourMinister Patricia Hajduto recognize Eid al-Adha atPrairieland Park at 9 a.m. CST.

Then, at 10 a.m.,Trudeau and Hajduare scheduled tomeet with the Saskatoon Tribal Council at White Buffalo Youth Lodge on 20th Street.

The two are then expected tomeet with co-op students for a roundtable discussion at Gordon Oaks Red Bear Student Centre at the University of Saskatchewanat 1:15 p.m.

This is Justin Trudeau's fourth visit to Saskatchewan since becoming prime minister. His last visit to the Prairie province was in April, when he visited Gray.
