No foul play in death of man pulled from river in Saskatoon: police

Saskatoon police say foul play was not a factor in the death of a man whose body was pulled from the South Saskatchewan River on Thursday night.

The Saskatchewan Fire Department discovered the body of the 25-year-old near the Broadway Bridge during a training exercise.

Police were notified just after 6 p.m. on Thursday. They said Friday an autopsy had determined foul play was not a factor.

The man has been identified and the family has been notified, added police.

The investigation is nowwith the Office of the Chief Coroner.
