Victim stable after being stabbed in neck in Saskatoon

A man has been charged with aggravated assault after Saskatoon police found a 28-year-old man with a stab wound in his neck and "a significant amount of blood."

A man was stabbed in the neck at a home in the 200 block of Grant Street in Saskatoon Tuesday night.

Saskatoon police say they got a call about 8 p.m. CST about an injured male and arrived to find a man, 28, with a stab wound in his neck and "a significant amount of blood."

The victim told police he had been stabbed in the neck with a knife. Officers provided first aid to the victim until paramedics arrived.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.

Police arrested a 27-year-old man at an address on the 2700 block of Main Street. He has been charged with aggravated assault and breach of recognizance.

Police say the accused and victim are known to each other.
