Phoenix the red panda comes to Saskatoon Forestry Farm

Saskatoon Forestry Farm has acquired a red panda. The animal looks more like a raccoon than a bear. And it's part of a species that is vulnerable.

The Saskatoon Forestry Farm has acquired a red panda named Phoenix.

The animal looks more like a raccoon than a bearand ispart of a species that is vulnerable, according to the World Wildlife Fund.

"They are considerably larger than the household cat, but not a lot,"saidJohn Moran, manager of the Forestry Farm Zoo. "A small dog,"

The bamboo eater will stay in quarantine for now.Host of Saskatoon Morning Leisha Grebinski spoke with Moran about the zoo's new creature.
