A group of14 Syrian refugees will soon be calling Saskatoon home.

Canada is expecting another government-organized flight of refugees,Friday.

The plane of 224Syrian refugees will landinToronto,and according to the federal government,will include Saskatchewan's first wave of newcomers. They'repart of the 25,000 promised by the federal government during the fall 2015 election campaign.

But there is no definite dateset forthe 14 set toarrive in the bridge city.

"After arrival in Canada and once refugees are done at the Welcome Centre, most will then be transported onward to a local hotel for an overnight stay to rest and have something to eat while awaiting the next step in their journey to their destination community," wrote Don Murray, a representative forImmigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, in an email Thursday.

"For those requiring onward travel, they will continue their journey, in most cases, the following day," he added.

Four flights will bringa totalof 757 Syrian refugees to Canada this month.
