Saskatoon police warn retailers about card skimming

Saskatoon police are looking for two men they believe tampered with debit and credit card terminals at five retailers.

Cashiers from five stores in Saskatoon told police how two men approached them to make a small purchase.

In these cases, while the clerk wasprocessing asale, one of the suspects tamperedwith the device. The suspects leftonce the transaction wascomplete. However,they returned several days later to collect the skimmed data from the debit terminal.

Police said the suspects use the same method to retrieve the data as they do to install it.

Businesses are reminded to stay vigilant in monitoring these terminals and are encouraged to report any suspicious activity to police.
