Fire crews shut down the Saskatoon Co-op station at Preston Crossing for two hours Thursday as they assessed a propane leak.

The action started just before 7 p.m. CST when propane started leaking from a connection to a tank being filled. The crews evacuated all staff from the site and set up a safety perimeter.

They shut down the tank and made sure there were no ignition sources.

Federated Co-op sent in a propane specialist to fix the leak, which turned out tobe minor.

There were no injuries.
