Saskatoon marched with pride for annual parade

People took to the Saskatoon streets to march in the city's annualPride Parade today. The theme wassuper sweet 16.

The event followed morethan a week of events and activities held for the 2016Saskatoon Pride Festival.

The bandHOJA, originally based in Saskatoon,played a pre-show at the judges' corner in front of theHilton Garden Inn just prior to the parade.

The "super queer sweet 16" paradewassponsored by Tourism Saskatoon.

After the parade, entertainers were expected to take to themain stage.HOJAwas first on the lineup. They were expected to begin around2p.m. CST and were to be followedby LJ Tyson, LAL, TheCliksand DJ R2.

Singer-songwriterBif Naked was slated to hit the stage at 5:30 p.m.to wrap up the celebration.

Main stageentertainment is free and takes place inKiwanis Park.

The annual festival ends on Sunday.
