Should Netflix be forced to show more Canadian programs?

TheCanadian Radio-television and telecommunications Commision (CRTC)recently held hearings looking at the future of TV in Canada.The impact of Internet-based video providers was the focus.

The CRTC regulates how much Canadian content is aired by broadcasters.A Netflix executive said that regulations to increase Canadian content will hurt consumers.

He said that viewers should "vote with their dollars and eyeballs to shape the media marketplace."
