The trial of Frances Sugar continues today.

The 50-year-old woman has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of her 34-year-old daughter, Lindey Sugar.

In 2014, witnesses in the area said Lindey Sugar was seen walking along a gravel road, bleeding from her neck.

At the time, police said Sugar died after an altercation that happened outside of a vehicle.

People in the area tried to help the woman before she died. She was eventually pronounced dead at Royal University Hospital.
