CBC Sudbury Sounds of the Season raises thousands for food bank

A total of $8,370and 177 lbsof food was collected for the SudburyFood Bank at CBC Sudbury'sannual Sounds of the Season event.

The community event featured music by local artists and singers, including a performance by the Kampana Hand Bells. Held at St. Andrew's Place in downtown Sudbury, dozens of people lined up to fill their bellies with pancakes, and hear stories and interviews about Christmas traditions.

Morning North show host Markus Schwabewelcomed guests to the event, which also included a penny table andgingerbread house building.
