Dog shot by arrow still alive, Sault Ste. Marie OPP investigating

An online fundraising campaign has been started to cover the medical bills of a dog shot by an arrow in Havilland Bay, Ont., Monday morning.

According to the GoFundMe page started to help cover the dog's medical bills, "While out for a morning run, Remington (a well loved Germain [sic] Shorthair Pointer) was shot by an arrow in a dispicable [sic] act of violence minutes from his home. " (Tina Fascina/Facebook)

An online fundraising campaign has been started to cover the medical bills of a dog shot by an arrow in Havilland Bay, Ont., on Monday morning.

Ontario Provincial Police in nearbySault Ste. Marie are still investigating the attack.

According to the GoFundMepage started for "Remington", theGerman Shorthaired Pointer "was out for a run" when hereturned home with an arrow in hisside.

According to the owner's Facebook page, the dogwas taken for surgery in Lansing, MI,and is recovering.

There's no further word from police at this time.
