I don't hear any complaints about it even when we close a lane of traffic.- CarolMcAulay, LUvice-president of administration

Carol McAulay, Laurentian University'svice-president of administration, said the structures will be ready for the next incoming class of students.

McAulay said several minor issues that needed to be fixedby many different groups caused the change in timeline.

"You know they always have to be nimble to react to conditions that they change. It isn't one thing, I would say," McAulay said. "There's adaptation as they've gone along through the project."

The buildings were originally slated to open last fall before the date was pushed back to early 2016, only to be delayedonce more to September. McAulay said Sudburians don't appear to be botheredby the traffic delays caused by the school's construction.

"With all of the expectations that having 400students and faculty and staff downtown and animating the downtown even more, I think there's lots of people really interested in the project," McAulay said. "I don't hear any complaints about it even when we close a lane of traffic.I think the community is focused on what it is bringing."

The completion of the buildings will mark thefirst new architecture school to open in the country in four decades.
