Sudbury couple cross the finish line on the ultimate Canadian running quest

A couple from Greater Sudbury, Ont., has achieved something very special together and they surely went through a few pairs of running shoes doing it.

Vince and Lise Perdue have now run marathon races in all 10 provinces, 3 territories

A couple from Greater Sudbury, Ont., has achieved something very special together and they surely went through a few pairs of running shoes doing it.

VinceandLisePerduehave just polished off the ultimate Canadian running quest. They both finished running marathons a distance of about42.2 km in each of Canada's 10 provinces and 3 territories.

Among the more exoticlocales, the couple ran onerace on thethe northern tip ofSomerset IslandinNunavut. It was exclusive: just18 other runners, allstaying in tents.

NeitherVincenorLiseclaimed to be interested in their race times.

"I spent a half an hour on the [Nunavut]course, at least, taking pictures," said Vince with a laugh.

"Wejust loved travelling in Canada," he said. "Meeting absolutely unusual people, and seeing absolutely different country than people think our country actually is."
