Fatal Thunder Bay crash victim identified

Police have released the identity of a man who died after his minivan collided with a pick-up truck Wednesday outside Thunder Bay.

Ontario Provincial Police have released the identity of a man who died after his minivan collided with a pick-up truck Wednesday outside Thunder Bay.

James Gray, 72, was taken to hospital following the crash, and succumbed to his injuries.

The accident happened around 2:25 p.m., when a minivan going north on Mapleward Road collided with a truck that was proceeding west on Highway 11-17.

The other driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The intersectionwas closed until 7:30 p.m. while OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators investigated the collision.

Police areasking witnesses to come forward with any information they may have.
