Thunder Bay city council debates student transit pass prices

Students at Lakehead University and Confederation College pay about $100 a year for a Thunder Bay Transit pass but the city wants them to pay more.

The matter debated at Mondaynight'scity council meeting in Thunder Bay, as the contract for the U-Pass is up for renewal.

The pass or U-Passis part of every full time student's fees.

Student union representatives say they want the price to, more or less, remain the sameand areeyeing a long-term deal.
