Music For The Masses

Friday Sept.19,six venues will host 36 local acts and fourtouring acts. The venues are: Crocks, Black Pirates Pub, The Foundry, Tony and Adams, A Little To The Left, and Gargoyles. Pay $10 for a wrist band that will giveyou access to all venues. A word of caution -map out your favourite acts and get there before the crowds fill the space!Last year over 3000 people attended.

Spaceport Union

Spaceport Union has been described as a progressive art rock band. They're currently on tour and stopping in Thunder Bay en route to Toronto where they planto record their second album. They perform Friday Sept.19at the Apollo. Cover charge is $5 at the door.

CamoFormal atBeauxDaddy's Grill House

My first thought when I hear the wordCamois hunting. It never occurred to me that you could pairCamowith Formal and come up with a fashion trend, but I'm opened minded so I'll give it a go. The Knackers, a local 6-piece celticfolk rock band, is providing live music for the evening.You can expect to hearguitars, mandolin, flutes and whistles with strong vocal harmonies. The results can only lead to hand-clapping and dancing. Tickets for the Knackers only are $15 at the door, after 9 p.m. It's all happening Saturday,Sept. 20 at Beaux Daddy's Grill House.

On Sunday night family and friends of Nipigon artist, Jory Zechner will gather to watch her compete on the TV competition The Next Star. You can join the viewing party at the Nipigon Curling Club.
