Blue Jays' 1st division title in 22 years unleashes social media elation

The Toronto Blue Jays and their fans have takento social media to celebrate the MLB team's first division title since 1993.

Heading into play Wednesday, the Jays needed only one win or a Yankees loss to seal the AL Easttitle. A Tuesday rainout meant the team had a double-header, giving Toronto two chances to wrap up the division withoutany help from New York.

The Jays clobbered the Orioles15-2 in the first game of the double bill. Thecelebration after that game was somewhat muted because they had another game30 minutes later(they lost 8-1).

But they finally broke out the cigars and champagne after their playing day was done. Here's a slice of how the celebration went down, in the dressing room and on social media.

Stephen R. Brooks, the team's senior vice-president of business operations, caught Kawasaki later, possibly washing off the effects of the beer bath.

Brooks later tweeted this pic of the dressing room debris left behind by the celebration.

Back in Toronto, fans filled local bars to watch and celebrate the big win.
