Police ID man found dead in Scarborough apartment

Toronto police have identified a man found dead in a Scarborough apartment in an incident now considered to be a homicide.

Mohamed 'Mo' Abdalla Mohamed, 40, of Toronto, pronounced dead at the scene

Mohamed 'Mo' Abdalla Mohamed, 40, of Toronto, also known as Mohamed Awad, was found dead in an apartment unit in Scarborough on Wednesday. He is Toronto's 23rd homicide victim of the year.

Toronto police have identified a man found dead in a Scarborough apartment this week in an incident now considered to be a homicide.

Mohamed "Mo" AbdallaMohamed, 40, of Toronto, was found on Wednesday with signs of trauma to his body in a residential unit in the area of Lawrence Avenue East and Morningside Road. He was also known asMohamed Awad, police say.

Police were called to the unit for a report of a medical complaint at about11:20 a.m.

No suspect descriptionhas been released.

Mohamed is the city's 23rd homicide victim of the year.

Police have released an image of the victim and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
