Muzik nightclub shooting victim's family wants answers

The father of a young woman shot and killed outside of Muzik nightclub last week said he wants answers about who may have been responsible for the 26-year-old's death.

Grief-stricken relatives pay tearful tribute to Ariela Navarro-Fenoy

Friends and family members gathered todayto mourn Ariela Navarro-Fenoy, the 26-year-old woman killed last week in a shooting outside Muzik nightclub.

"Ineed answers now," said Ariela's fatherVictor Navarrobefore heading in to the funeral atSt. Jude's Roman Catholic Church on Weston Road.

Ariela'ssisterAluensaid her family is struggling to come to terms withthe loss of a girl she described as a "free spirit" who "lived life to the fullest."

"She was a beautiful girl that would do anything for her family and friends. She was able to connect with anyone she met."

Family friendWichita Espinawas distraught as she headed in to the church.

"They are a lovely family, it's not fair that this happened to them," she said.

Navarro-Fenoy died after she was shot near Dufferin Gates as the crowd was leaving the club followingan after-party for Drake's OVO Fest.

The woman's friend said that the two were trying to leave the area, but a Toronto taxi refused to give them a ride because the fare was not high enough. Police are also reviewing what happened on the night of the shooting with the force's paid duty officers, as well as performing an overall evaluationof theclub's security.

DuvelHibbert, 23, was also killed in a shooting inside the club that happened moments before Navarro-Fenoy was shot outside.

Police say they're looking for two men who they considered to be persons of interest in the case but so far there have been no arrests.
