Woman in life-threatening condition after possible stabbing at Bay and Wellington

A woman is in life-threatening condition after a possible stabbing outside of a Shoppers Drug Mart on Bay Street and Wellington Street, Toronto Fire Services says.

Paramedics say the call came in around 3 p.m.

Police say it's not clear if thewound was self-inflicted or if the woman got into an altercation.

Toronto Fire Services say the allegedstabbing took place outside of the drugstore and that the woman, in her late 30s to early 40s,came inside seeking help.

She was taken to a trauma centre.

The Shoppers Drug Marthas been closed until further notice.

It is located in the PATH, the underground shopping concourse below theTD Centre.

Police are currently interviewing witnesses inside the store.
