Shoppers Drug Mart PATH stabbing victim dies in Toronto

The woman stabbed last week at a Shoppers Drug Mart in an underground pathway beneath Toronto's financial district has died.

The woman stabbed last week at a Shoppers Drug Mart in an underground pathway beneathToronto's financial district has died.

Rohinie Bisesar, 40, was arrested Tuesday and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and carrying a concealed weapon after the attack at the drugstore located in the underground PATH systembelow Bay and Wellington streets.

Const. Victor Kwong says thosecharges will be upgraded.

Police believeBisesardid not know the victim, who has not been identified.

The stabbing happened just after 3 p.m.The victim wasrushed to hospital and later put on life-support.

Bisesar made abrief court appearance Wednesday morning.

Calvin Barry, her lawyer, told reporters "she seems really sad," but hewouldn't comment on other aspects of Bisesar's life.

Bisesar had graduated from York University's undergraduate and graduate business programs,and had severaljobs in the financial district.

Shewill remain in custody, likely at a jail in the Milton, Ont., area, Barry said.

Bisesar isdue back in court Friday, but Barry suggested it may be early January before she gets a bail hearing.
