A Toronto man is accused of driving 190 km/h on Highway 400 with passengers in his car, the Ontario Provincial Police say.

A Toronto man is accused of driving 190 km/h on Highway 400with passengers in his car, the Ontario Provincial Police say.

The man, 41, has been charged with stunt driving at a rate of speed over the speed limit.

OPP spokespersonConst. Graham Williamsonsaid the driver was stopped on Highway 400south of King Road in Vaughan at about 1 a.m. Sunday. The man was travelling southbound.

The man is due to appear in court in Newmarket, Ont. on September 9.
