Woman dead, 2 people hospitalized after triple stabbing in North York

A woman is dead and two other people have been hospitalized following a stabbing in North York Monday afternoon, Toronto police say.

A woman in her 20s is dead and two other people have been hospitalized following a stabbing in North York Monday afternoon, Toronto police say.

Emergency crews were called to the scene, a massageparlour,at Dufferin Street and Wilson Avenue just after 12:30 p.m.

Police say officersfound two women and a man with stab wounds.

The woman in her 20s was found inside the parlour, while the other victims a woman in her 30sand a manin his late teens werefound outside.

Paramedics say they transported theman in life-threatening condition and a woman in serious condition to hospital.

The second womanwas pronounced dead at the scene.

Alldritt said police don'tyet knowif the victims were workingat the spa or if they were visiting the establishment.

"What I can tell you is that at this time we don't have any concern for public safety in this area," Alldrittsaid.

Earlier, Const. David Hopkinson told CBC Toronto that officers found a weapon close to the man,who they are treating as a suspect.

Police are asking witnessed or anyone with dashcamfootageof the incident to contact 32 Division.
