York police say one person is dead and three others are in hospital after a shooting inside a home in Woodbridge Friday morning. Police said the suspect or suspects are still at large, but early investigations suggest the shooting was targeted, and theres no risk to the public. CBCs Greg Ross has more details from the scene.

One person was killed and three others injured in what police are calling a targetedshooting inside a Woodbridge home Friday morning.

York police Const. Lisa Moskaluksays the servicereceived multiple calls about the sound of gunfire at the residence on Casa Nova Drive just before 9 a.m.

Police arrived to find four people suffering from gunshot wounds. One was pronounced dead inside the home, while the three others were taken to hospital.

During a brief news conference at the scene, Moskaluk was unable to comment on the condition of the three surviving victims.

She also did not have any information about the names, ages or genders of any of the victims, or the nature of their relationship to each other.

Moskaluk said there is no ongoing threat to public safety.

"Early indications are that his incident is targeted and isolated," she told reporters.

The suspect or suspects are still at large.Moskaluk did not immediately have any descriptions.

Neighbour Rohan Surujbhansaid he was making coffee, when he heard the sound of vehicles and sirens. He said he found a "commotion" when he went outside.

"There was a lot of ambulance, but one was being boarded by a lady ... she was lying flat and they were kind of maybe trying to resuscitate her," he said.

Surujbhansaid he also saw a mansitting up on a stretcher taken away by a different ambulance.

"It's just scary," he said. "I have my kids and my family, but then [police] assured us that there it's safe...So that kind of put peace of mind."
