Six accidents within a three-hour stretch Monday morningprompted Windsorpolice to reminddrivers to slow down and share the road.

Two of the accidents, which occurred between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m.,involved cyclists and one involved a person walking their bike. There were minor injuries reported in theaccidents.

That kind of frequency for accidents is high, say police, particularlybecause the weather and roads wereclear during the morning commute.

They want drivers to take theirtime and be patient on the roads.

"Bicycles are back on the roadways," said Windsor police spokesman Const. Andrew Drouillard. "Pedestrians are all over the roadways. There's nice weather and kids are going back to school. All those things need to be taken into account when you're driving on the roadway."

Police are still investigating the causes of all the accidents.

Windsor police say another accident involvinga cyclist was reported at 2:30 p.m. at Tecumseh Road East and Westminster Boulevard.
