People enjoyed shopping local on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning at the Downtown Windsor Farmers Market 2017 season opener. Meat, produce, cheese, flowers, wine, art, coffee and more were available from vendors lined along Pelissier and Maiden Lane. Downtown Farmers' Market Opens For Season

People enjoyed shopping local on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning at the Downtown Windsor Farmers Market 2017 season opener. Meat, produce, cheese, flowers, wine, art, coffee and more were available from vendors lined along Pelissier and Maiden Lane. Children and adults enjoyed tall buskers, face painting, attempting to try circus show acts and live musical entertainment.

24-Hour Drum Marathon for T2B

For the eleventh year Tea Party drummer Jeff Burrows performed with a long line up of mostly local bands for twenty four hours straight. Twenty-two hours into the twenty four hour drum marathon, on Saturday night, Burrows played the drums and tambourine with Windsor's Smokin' Purple Monkey Gang. People had fun dancing the night away while funds were raised in support of the St. Clair College Fund and Transition To Betterness.

Get Your Glow On

Scores of people showed up to "Get Their Glow On" at the annual glow ride. A DJ played fun music, children got their faces painted, and people decorated their bicycles in glow sticks and flashing lights. After stretching and warming up, riders hit the Ganatchio Trail in East Windsor. The event benefits the Windsor Essex Cancer Centre Foundation.

Memorial Cup Tour Hits Seminole Street Library

The Memorial Cup Community Tour stopped in at the Windsor Public Library on Seminole street. The tour was joined by young Nathan Forbis of the 2828 Windsor Regiment Royal Canadian Army Cadets. People enjoyed seeing the Memorial Cup up close and having their photos taken with it. A 4 month old baby was awestruck by either his reflection or how shiny the trophy was.
