Sounds of the Season,CBC Windsor's annual charity drive, is in full swing.

As we heard todayduringWindsor Morning's special live show atSt. ClairCollege, food and monetary donations are flowing in from across the region.

With that in mind, I thought I'd take the opportunityto tell the story of aperson who feeds some of thiscity's most vulnerable residents.

Vibushan Karunanithiis the food services supervisor at the Salvation Army. He's based at their building on Church Street in downtown Windsor.

Ifirst came across Vibushan because I had a chance to try some of his food but itwasn't at the Salvation Army.

I was purchasingbagels at the Earnest Bagel on Dougall Avenue when the owner, Tristan, told me I just had to try some of this food he was eating.

It turns out Tristan donates bagels to the Salvation Army and as a gesture of appreciation, Vibushan brought him some Indian food he had prepared.

Since my parents come from India,I have a very high bar when it comes to Indian food.

Hesitant, I tried some of the food Tristan offered me and I was very impressed. It made me want to learn more about thetalented man behind the curry.
