It happened Wednesdayaround 3 p.m. at Mersea Road 2 and Mersea Road 19 involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say one person is dead following a "serious collision" near Leamington, Ont.

It happened Wednesdayaround 3 p.m. ET at Mersea Road 2 and Mersea Road 19 involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle, according to authorities.

Police say the motorcycle left the road and struck a guardrail.

OPP say the 28-year-old motorcycle driver was from Leamingtonand was pronounced dead at the scene.

No word yet if charges are expected to be laid.

On Sunday night, a crash in Windsor claimed the life of a 19-year-old motorcyclist. That one happened on Dougall Avenue at the E.C. Row Expressway.
