Windsor police are investigating a homicide in Windsor.

Authorities say officers were called to a home in the 1400-block of Everts Avenue just after 10 a.m. Wednesday that's just south of Tecumseh Road West near Campbell Avenue.

"We're expecting more information as our detectives are obviously combing the scene for evidence," said Const. Andy Drouillard, who said officers are canvassing the area for potential witnesses.

He said one suspect is in custody and there is no risk to the public.

"It's too early in the investigation really to have any more information at this time but once we have that information we will definitely update the public."

This is Windsor's fifth homicide of 2018.

More information is expected tomorrow.
