Windsor police plan to add a second diversity officer to the force, according to the lone man currently working in the role.

Sgt. Wren Dosantmentioned the new hire during an interview with CBC Kitchener-Waterloo host Craig Norris Wednesday.

"Diversity is something that's encouraged and needed," He said. "We do that through training, with the officer looking at themselves and seeing if they're prejudiced or if they have biases, and we're trying to identify those things."

Dosant said he is busy working with officers ranging from new recruits to veterans. His job also involves encouraging people from diverse backgrounds to join the force.
