Windsor, Tecumseh getting new schools

The Minister of Education gave Ontario students an early Christmas gift this morning.

• Ontario announces $498M in funding to build 30 new schools

Liz Sandals announced a $498-millionpromise to build 30 new schools, and renovate 26 others across the province.

Windsor and Tecumseh will get a new school each.

The government will also fund more than 2,000new, licensed child-care spots.

The funding is part of an $11-billion investment over 10 years to repair existing schools and build new schools in high-growth areas.
