Windsor Rib Fest

Grills were fired up and the smell of a delicious BBQ filled the air around Riverfront Festival Plaza when Windsor Ribfest returned to town this past weekend. People patiently waited in long lines for their chance to enjoy barbecued ribs, chicken, pulled pork and more from some of North America's best ribbers.

Art in the Park

Thousands of people enjoyed browsing, live music, food, beverages and socializing at this year's Art In The Park held at Willistead Park this past weekend. There was something for everyone from handmade wood board games and garden decor to paintings and stained glass artwork. This marks the 39th year this signature event has been held in Windsor.

Gutsy Walk

Hundreds of people had fun walking at the Vollmer Complex in Lasalle to raise funds for Crohn`s disease and ulcerative colitis during the 22nd Annual Gutsy Walk. People walked to the beat as a DJ played music. Children enjoyed face painting and magic shows, Over 60 locations across Canada simultaneously participated in the walk to raise funds for Crohn's and Colitis Canada.

Low-Martin Mansion Tours

For the past several years the historic Lo-Martin Mansion located in Walkerville has opened its doors for tours during Art In The Park weekend. Vern Myslichuk, current owner, his family and employees were on hand to showcase the home and talk with the public about the home originally built by prohibition era rum runner Harry Lo. New additions to the house include recently completed oil painting portraits by artist Nathalie Bureau. The portraits depict original owner, Harry Lo, and current owner Myslichuk.
