Looking forward after a day of reflection

To mark the anniversary of the first Idle No More national day of action, an evening of celebration is planned in Ottawa tonight. Niigaan: In Conversation is hosted by activist/comedian Ryan McMahon, and includes journalist Wab Kinew, Grand Chief Derek Nepinak, author Lee Maracle and academic Leanne Simpson.

It's been a day full of reflection. People are remembering the last year of Idle No More, Chief Spence's hunger strike and the last time AFN Chiefs met in Ottawa.

Tonight a group of leading Indigenous thinkers are getting together to look to the future.

Niigaan: In Conversation is hosted by activist/comedian Ryan McMahon, and includes journalistWabKinew,Grand Chief DerekNepinak, author LeeMaracleand academic Leanne Simpson.

Their panel discussion will ask what happenedto the fire? And explore what's next for the movement.
