It's back to battleground Ontario today for the election campaigns of the leaders of the Liberals and New Democrats.

Liberal leader Justin Trudeau is going to make an announcement in Ajax, east of Toronto.

The Conservatives hold the riding, but the Liberals would dearly love to snatch it away.

Trudeau will then holdan evening rally in Toronto with Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne.

NDP leader Tom Mulcair has a campaign event in Niagara Falls.

Stephen Harper's campaign starts the day in Fredericton with Conservative sources saying an announcement will be made on national defence.

The New Brunswick capital is Conservative country and some observers say the Tories have a good shot at holding the seat.

It's also a good place to make an announcement on defence, as a major army base is located near Fredericton. Harper then heads back to Ontario for an event at a Hindu temple in Brampton in the evening.

Meanwhile, a lesser known political leader will be making his campaign debut today.

The head of the Rhinoceros Party has a news conference scheduled for a Montreal Tim Horton's.

Sebastien "CoRhino" is planning to present his policies and candidates, and the media advisory ends with the words "be there we'll have fun!"
