Canada election 2015: Where the leaders are Thursday

NDP Leader Tom Mulcair starts his campaign day Thursday in Conservative territory in Winnipeg, where he will be making a platform announcement on youth unemployment.

Muclair will be in the riding of Charleswood-St. James-Assiniboia-Headingley which the Tories took from the Liberals in 2004 and have held since, easily trouncing the New Democrats in 2011.

Mulcair will then head to the Alberta capital for an evening rally.

Conservative Leader Stephen Harper, who has had a few tough days trying to steer away from questions on the Syrian refugee crisis to his party's economic platform, visits Prince Edward Island on Thursday.

Harper will deliver a speech in New Annan at a company that specializes in cleaning and sorting potatoes, as well as scanning them for any metal contaminants.

He will also make an announcement about fisheries where Fisheries Minister Gail Shea is in a battle for her seat. Her Egmont riding is the Conservatives' only foothold on P.E.I. The other three ridings in the province are controlled by the Liberals.

Harper will head to New Brunswick later in the day, where he is set to speak at the Irving Oil Refinery in Saint John.

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau ventures out west to make announcements at the City of Vancouver engineering services building and later at a park in West Vancouver before attending an evening rally.

Green party Leader Elizabeth May spends her day in Toronto, while Bloc Leader Gilles Duceppe will be talking about the dangers of moving petroleum products by rail at a campaign stop in Beloeil, Que., before delivering an evening speech in nearby Montreal.
