Cholera victims line newly dug mass graves

CBC News has visited Haiti's newest mass grave, a sorrowful pit filled with stench, flies and the bodies of cholera victims.

The freshly dug hole lies in a field north of the capital, Port-au-Prince, just a few hundred metres from another, larger mass grave filled with thousands of bodies of earthquake victims.

Now, privately-run morgues and graveyards are refusing to accept cholera victims and there's nowhere else for them to go. So they're dumped here, unceremoniously, in white plastic bags to keep their infectious bodily fluids from spreading.
