Prince Harry jokes with Barack Obama ahead of radio interview

Prince Harry has interviewed Barack Obama for a radio program in which the former U.S. president shared his memories of the day he left office and his hopes for the future.

Former U.S. president Barack Obama and Prince Harry traded quips as they prepared to record an interview that will air two days after Christmas.

The exchange took place at theInvictusGames in Toronto last September, featuring the Queen's grandson as guest hostfor BBCRadio 4's Today program.

Kensington Palace released a preview on Sunday of what appeared to be a sound check.

"Do I need to speak faster? Because I'm a slow speaker," Obama jokes in the teaser offered up on the palace's Twitter feed."Do I need a British accent?

"No, not at all," Harry replies. "Butif you start using long pauses between the answers, you're probably gonna get the face."

The prince then tilts hischin downward in jest.

The palace saidthe conversation features Obama discussing his plans to cultivate the next generation of leadership through the Obama Foundation.

Theformer U.S. president shareshis memories of the day he left office and his hopes for the future.

The interview will be broadcast on Dec. 27.
