The Royal Wedding on CBC

The much-anticipated wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton will take place on April 29 in London.

CBC's coverage of theevent will begin brightand early at 2 a.m. ETas the city awakes and prepares for the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, which begins at6 a.m. ET.

Follow the wedding on CBC TV, CBC News Network and CBCnews.ca from 2 .am. ET to 10 a.m. ET.

CBC News will also drop in on celebrations in Vancouver, Halifax, Toronto, Edmonton and Victoria. If youre in the Toronto area, CBC invites you to our Royal Wedding viewing party at the Canadian Broadcasting Centre, 250 Front St West,beginning at 5 a.m. Tea and scones will be served, and prizes will be awarded for the best hat, wedding dress or bridesmaid dress.

Broadcast highlights:

2 a.m. ET: CBC TV and CBC News Network will be live from Londonfour hours before the wedding. Heather Hiscox and other CBC correspondents will be reporting from street level as the city, and people around the world, get ready for the big event.

CBCNews.ca's coverage will also begin at 2 a.m. ET.You'll be able to stream CBC television coverage on your computer, tablet or smartphone. Correspondent Andrea Lee-Greenberg will be live-blogging fromthe streets of London, as well as providing photos, interviews and interactive content.

4 a.m. ET: CBC News chief correspondent Peter Mansbridge willreport from outside Westminster Abbey as the excitement builds. The CBC's royal commentator, Ciara Hunt, and correspondents Heather Hiscox, Anne-Marie Mediwake, Ann MacMillan, Susan Ormiston and Andrea Lee-Greenberg will also be filing regular reports.

5 a.m. ET: CBC Radio OnesWorld Report will be live outside Buckingham Palace. Host Peter Armstrongwill bejoined by Karen Pauls, from Westminster Abbey, and Tom Parry, whowill bring the colour and celebrations from thecrowds lining the streets.

6 a.m. ET: The ceremony begins. The CBC News team will take you through this historic event: from the ceremony to the carriage rides throughLondon's streets to Buckingham Palace.

7 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET: CBC News Network will broadcast highlights from the wedding ceremony.
