Pottermore website hails more boy wizard

Anticipation is building once again among Harry Potter fans after creator J.K. Rowling launched a new website called Pottermore on Thursday. A spokesman for the author confirmed that Pottermore is a Rowling project, but all that appears now is a cover page with the tantalizing words "Coming soon."

For a writer who supposedly retired her boy wizard character after publishing her seventh book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, in 2007, Rowling does not appear to have moved on. There have been Harry Potter picture books and wiz-bang theme parks, but no new writing for Rowling fans.

There's no big mystery why Pottermore has appeared: the final film instalment of the Harry Potter story is coming July 15.
