The frenzy -- that's why I love TIFF. Even though this year's festival has already been hit with complaints about ongoing construction, protests and gloomy weather, it hasn't marred the atmosphere in Yorkville, the centre of it all.

Bright lights, big names, lovely films and great food -- TIFF is world class thanks only to those who participate every year.

People screaming, jumping, crying and even fainting (I saw that last year!) after seeing a celebrity -- every movie enthusiast's eyes are on Toronto and it's a pleasure to be in the wild epicentre.

I can honestly say, after going to the Cannes Film Festival in June, that the atmosphere here rivals the mood on those white sandy beaches ... minus the boat parties. We need to find a way to bring those here. Seriously.

But even if you can't score tickets to the film you're dying to see or reserve seats at a trendy bistro, just walk down Yorkville Avenue or Cumberland Street on any given night and you're sure to have a great time.

The best experience I've had at TIFF was not the gala I went to last year or any of the other movies I've seen here. It was the dining and hanging out with friends in the middle of September's trendiest metropolis.

That's why I love TIFF!
