Today on The Current:

Who are the different groups making up the Ottawa protest, and what impact is the ongoing stalemate having around the world? Matt Galloway talks to Stephanie Carvin, a former national security analyst, and an associate professor at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University; and Ruth Ben-Ghiat, a professor of history and Italian studies at New York University and an expert on extremist movements.

Plus, some provinces are lifting COVID-19 restrictions, including dropping vaccine passports. Shachi Kurl, president of polling company Angus Reid Institute, discusses how Canadians might feel about the moves; and infectious disease experts Dr. Isaac Bogoch and Dr. Alexander Wong weigh in on whether it's the right approach.

And in his new book Chasing History: A Kid in the Newsroom, legendary journalist Carl Bernstein takes us back to his days as a 16-year-old copy boy in a Washington newsroom. He tells us about his love of newspapers, what he learned from writing obituaries, and going to work on the day John F. Kennedy was killed.
