Georges Laraque On His Work In Haiti

This week is the second anniversary of the 2010 Haiti earthquake, and we'll be marking the occasion with a special broadcast on Wednesday, January 11 at 11:05 pm on CBC TV, in which we look at what has happened in the country since the disaster, and revisiting George's visit last November as an Ambassador Against Hunger for the World Food Programme.

Former hockey enforcer Georges Laraque dropped by the studio in November, when he talked about his work in Haiti since the earthquake. The one-time member of the Montreal Canadiens, whose parents moved to Canada from Haiti before he was born, has been involved with relief efforts conducted by the charity World Vision, and has visited the country several times.

Here he is explaining to George what his work involves, and what it means to him:
